    Game update 7

PlanetSide 2’s Game Update 7 is here and it not only introduces new weaponry but also some handy changes to the game. What can you look forward to? Here are a few of the highlights to expect when you log in! New Heavy Pistols: Maybe you are a Heavy Assault low on ammo or an Infiltrator looking for a more agile close quarters weapon. Nanite Systems has two new models of heavy pistol for sale, ensuring not only versatility but stopping power. NS-44 Commissioner – The awe-inspiring stopping power of the accurate NS-44 Commissioner revolver can put down even mid-range targets with a few well placed shots. Cowboy up and drop the enemy with this six-shooter. NS-357 Underboss – Chambered for the powerful .357 magnum cartridge, the snub-nosed Underboss revolver features a faster rate of fire and more controllable recoil than its bigger NS-44 brother.  The only question left is did you fire five shots or six? Combat Changes: Lock On Rocket Launchers – These will no longer lock on to turrets. You’ll need to run up and C4 them like everyone else! Vanu Sovereignty Weapons – Damage scaling has been removed and is now consistent with the other empires. You could of course just get closer but we certainly don’t want to dictate strategy! MAX Weaponry Changes – Most forms of MAX weaponry have been tweaked and improved. Better weapons and a mechanized machine to walk around in? Why would you not play a MAX again? Flash Handling – A quick fix for the wheels [...]

    PS2 Performance

    full-21384-41621-planetside2_2012_08_09_17_00_17_02

(2 x 2 GB) 8 GB DDR3 dualband @1333 (Corsair, want [...]

    Game update 5

    avatar_l

Greetings Auraxians – I wanted to post real quick to talk about the updates we just made to the Roadmap as well as give some info on GU05 and a heads up on what we’ve been working on since GU04. First of all, on the Roadmap you may have noticed that we’ve shifted some things around and added some new items. If you haven’t had a chance, please make sure you go check it out to see the new schedule. One of our primary goals with Roadmap is to keep you guys informed as accurately as possible with what things are being worked on and when they’ll be released. Sometimes things will slip, sometimes they’ll move forward in the schedule, sometimes they’ll be removed entirely, all in line with trying to keep it up to date with the current development team priorities. A lot of you have expressed concern that certain features have been moved into “Unscheduled” and questioned what that means for the future of those features. In most cases it means that they’re being actively worked on by the exact same people who have been working on them, but that we no longer know exactly when they’ll be released. As an example, we’ve moved the new continent Hossin into unscheduled. We still have our full environment team working on Hossin, in fact it’s just completed it’s initial primary design layout pass and has been handed off to the art team for their first cleanup phase, it’s still coming and we [...]

    PlanetSide update 4: comming soon.

    PlanetSide-2-610x343

Hoi allemaal, Binnenkort komt er een nieuwe game update voor PS2. Vette sh*t ouwe! Zie hieronder.       Hey all! We wanted to give you guys a preview of some things you can look forward to in GU04, which is tentatively scheduled for release next week, pending any issues discovered in testing of course. First though, I wanted to talk a bit about our current update schedule “cadence” so you all understand when you can expect the game to be updated. We have three types of updates to live that we use; Game Update, Patch and Hotfix. Game Updates come on a 2-week cadence, so every second week you should expect a major game update with new features, gameplay changes, items and bug fixes. Last week we released GU03, we expect to release GU04 next week. Patches come in between Game Updates, they typically don’t introduce new gameplay or features, but will usually contain bug fixes, balance changes, and new items. We won’t always have one each week, these come as needed. Hotfixes can come any day, and they’re based on an urgent need to change a game balance issue or bug. In general we try to release Game Updates and Patches early on Wednesday mornings (PST), but we sometimes need to hold back the updates for more QA time when issues are found. Coming with GU04 Here’s a preview of some of the features which are currently scheduled to be released with GU04 next week and the patch in the following week: Flash update: Wraith [...]

    Tactiek: de Bio Lab

    335px-Bio_Lab_Walkthrough

Bio Lab Walkthrough(03:22) The Bio Lab facility rises into the sky and can be seen from a distance, immediately recognized by its iconic domed shield structure on top. The entire facility is supported by large legs that stretch out from the center. Two large platforms extend from the upper levels for air support vehicles to launch from and land on. The center of the base provides the support structure for the large dome at the top. The upper level has several small buildings inside the dome within its own ecosystem, all of which circle the center building. The exterior of the base is a suitable layout for aerial battles and tank warfare, while the interior dome area is prone to close quarters combat. Control of the Bio Lab facility awards the winning empire resources and the added benefit of increased health regeneration for all infantry. If an empire does not control a single Bio Lab, the infantry will not automatically regenerate health. Occupation provides various Resources. Tip: Hud indicatoren, ken ze goed!

Important locations such as capture points, equipment and vehicle terminals and spawn rooms, as well as friendly and enemy troops, are shown on the gameworld through the use of icons. These icons will only appear once you are within a certain range of them, and once they appear the distance to the target will display underneath the icon. Icon Legend: The color of the icon will depend on the controlling Empire: purple (VS), red (TR), blue (NC) or white (neutral))  - Aircraft Terminal (VS)  - Galaxy Terminal  - Heavy Ground Vehicle Terminal  - Light Ground Vehicle Terminal  - Equipment Terminal  - Warpgate (TR)

    Basics

In PlanetSide 2 players must choose allegiance with one of Planetside’s three Empires: Terran Republic, New Conglomerate or Vanu Sovereignty. These empires are locked in an epic battle for domination of the planet Auraxis, and players fight for their empire to control Auraxis’s four main resources by capturing and controlling sections of the planet’s three current continents. The continents are sectioned into hexes on the world map, and each hex section corresponds to a certain resource. Capturing and controlling a hex section provides the corresponding resource to players of that empire. With these resources, players can buyvehicles, items and certain equipment for use in game, and as well as unlock new weapons, visual customization options, and various equipment items. Most classes, weapons and equipment are free to use in game once they are unlocked. Players can further upgrade (sidegrade) and customize each class, vehicle, equipment and weapon by acquiring certifications.   Kijk hier voor meer: http://wiki.planetside-universe.com/ps/Gameplay_Fundamentals

    Wat is PlanetSide 2?

    planetside2-1920-x-1200-01

“PlanetSide 2 is a Massively Multiplayer First Person Shooter that delivers truly epic, massive combat on a scale never before seen in stunning, breathtaking detail. Battles take place not between dozens of troops, but thousands; with air and ground vehicles slugging it out alongside squads of troops. Whether in open fields, tightly-packed urban centers or enormous structures, winning requires strategic teamwork and a quick trigger finger.”[1] The pacing for PlanetSide 2 is faster than the original PlanetSide[2] and features thousands of players. It also features familiar first person shooter elements such as sprinting and iron sights. An important aspect is that player skill is the major determiner when it comes to being able to kill other players. Skills are planned to only make between 15-20% difference and any weapon is able to damage another player.
